Cheppaamu Chesaamu: Babu Delivers Again!

After having served as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh for 14 years, Chandrababu was presented with his toughest challenge till date after taking over from the previous administration. As stated by Chandrababu himself, he had to operate the government with ₹10 lakh crore debts from the previous tenure. 

Incidentally, Chandrababu addressed the same while interacting with the collectors yesterday as he spoke at length about how he is getting things done for AP even with so many financial hardships and distress. 

“It has been over a year since we took over the government. But right from the fundamental level, we had to counter many challenges, including the ₹10 lakh crore debts. But despite the hardship, we are now delivering public friendly governance and continuing the DBT programs.” Babu said. 

The Andhra Pradesh chief minister further added “We are implementing the largest welfare scheme in the country is pensions and are providing pensions to 64 lakh beneficiaries. Through Thalliki Vandanam, we are providing financial assistance to every student pursuing education

Babu, then spoke about the free RTC travel program, which has changed the lives of the majority of the female population in the state. Through the Deepam 2 scheme, we are providing 3 free cylinders per year to eligible families. 

Through Annadata Sukhibhava, we provided Rs.7000 in the first phase. In three phases, we will provide Rs.20,000 in financial assistance. On top pole that, we will also provide Rs.15,000 each to auto drivers on October 1.

At one point in the conference, Babu said “Election mundu cheppaamu… ippudu chesi choopisthunnamu” and this perfectly emulates the prevailing situation. 

The most important thing here is that Chandrababu is making all this progress happen by generating substantial income to Andhra Pradesh through investments and central assistance. This is the kind of effective leadership that Andhra Pradesh lacked during the previous regime.
