The government of Andhra Pradesh has taken a pretty proactive stand when it comes to curbing the social media hate and harassment. This topic was brought to discussion in the assembly itself today and Home minister Anitha debriefed on the matter.
The Home minister revealed the real story behind the proxy handles that are created to set a wrong perception amongst the public by fabricated social media groups.
The YCP social media group had the habit of creating handles with peculiar identities and names in order to drive their stages narratives. Incidentally, the minister had even revealed the names of such individuals who operate these accounts with false identities.
For instance, we have a Twitter user with the display name, Karanam NTR with a display picture of Chiranjeevi while the actual name of the user is Saptagiri Reddy. On a related note, there’s a handle named Chalapati Chowdary while the real name of the user is Mukesh reddy.
The podcast named Andhra Podcaster is actually operated by a guy named Kesari Vijay Reddy.
The home minister revealed that people hide the real identities and use staged names to create a wrong perception on social media and drive fabricated narratives against their counterparts.
