India successfully completed a remarkable Asia Cup tournament last night with an emphatic victory against Pakistan in the final. Notably, it was Telugu cricketer, Tilak Varma who led the team to a big win.
Tilak was absolutely brilliant with the bat as he scored crucial 69 runs as he contributed nearly 50% of the total team runs. He was decisive in India’s victory in the final which had its ups and downs.
Coming to the topic now straight after this emphatic victory against Pakistan last night, Tilak did something very interesting as he signed a memorabilia to Andhra Pradesh IT Minister, Nara Lokesh.
A video of Tilak signing the team India cap and writing “Dear Lokesh Anna” is now going viral. Tilak appeared to share a very positive outlook on Lokesh as he even said “Lokesh Anna, this is for you.”
This could be in reflection of the fact that Lokesh has been decisive in the development of Andhra cricket Association and the supporting infrastructure in the state. It can also be noted that Andhra Pradesh government made significant financial contributions to Telugu youngsters, Tilak Varma and Nitish Reddy.
All the positive work that the Andhra Pradesh government is doing for Cricket is reaping rewards now. Another crucial point of difference here is that the previous YCP government used to torment players like Hanuman Vihari while the current government is winning the love of talented youngsters like Tilak.
