Incidentally, civil aviation minister, Ram Mohan Naidu, who is from Andhra Pradesh is getting things done swiftly for the common folk. 

Earlier Ram Mohan Naidu communicated the launch of a direct international flight between Vijayawada and Singapore, a significant step towards enhanced global connectivity for Andhra Pradesh.

Starting from November 15, Indigo Airlines will operate tri-weekly flights between Vijayawada and Singapore Changi Airport on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

For the people of Vijayawada and surrounding regions, this direct flight to Singapore is a long-awaited dream come true. Beyond travel convenience, it opens new avenues for trade, education, tourism, and deeper ties with ASEAN nations and beyond.

More importantly, this move will also give a strong boost to Amaravati, the capital region of Andhra Pradesh. Also, elevated international connectivity will attract more investments, facilitate global partnerships, and support Amaravati’s emergence as a world-class, future-ready capital city.
