Babu @ Dubai : A Super Productive Day

Chandrababu Naidu had a super busy and productive day in Dubai with a lot of business meetings just within a span of 12 hours. From morning till evening, Babu met top business leaders of UAE, addressed the CII Partnership Summit roadshow and pitched about why Andhra Pradesh is the next big destination for global investors in India.

As reported earlier, the day began with ₹100 crore investment by Shobha Group for the Amaravati Library where Babu had a great time meeting with Ravi Menon, chairman of Shobha Group who even further was interested in investing into Andhra’s hospitality and tourism sector in future.

Later, within no time wasting he met several UAE-based industrial giants to invite them to the upcoming CII Partnership Summit 2025 in Visakhapatnam. One of the biggest highlights was the meeting with Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, became quite successful. They have come forward with plans to invest into setting up a world class cancer hospital in Tirupati.

Babu also met Mr. Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan, Chairman of Transworld Group and discussed huge opportunities in the blue economy of coastal Andhra Pradesh like port development and ship management. He briefed about the recent industrial development in the coastal Andhra Pradesh from Rambili Industrial Park, revamping of Machilipatnam port to Nellore’s Aerospace industrial parks where the company could invest.

Further, the meetings by Babu with H.E. Major Gen. (Retd.) Sharafuddin Sharaf of Sharaf Group and Mr. Abdul Nassar Lootah of Lootah Group went very well, with discussions focused on industrial growth, logistics and infrastructure where Babu showed how the government has developed certain specific policies for the sector like the state logistics and infrastructure policy backed by strong Industrial Vision 4.O.

The day ended with Babu visiting Dubai’s famous Museum of the Future along with ministers and senior officials in Dubai where he observed and discussed building a similar museum in the knowledge city of Amravati.

Chandra Babu Naidu said that Andhra Pradesh has “rolled out the red carpet” for investors who believe in innovation and inclusive growth. Earlier, YCP leaders used to criticize Chandrababu Naidu for making repeated trips to Singapore, alleging that he had some vested interests and was focused only on getting investments from there. But now, Babu has made it very clear it’s not just about Singapore. The Andhra Pradesh government is open to attracting investments from across the world and building strong global partnerships for the state’s growth.

At the same time, IT Minister Nara Lokesh is also busy on his maiden Australia visit. He successfully convinced top Australian universities to set up campuses and skill centers in Andhra Pradesh. He also played a key role in getting the seafood export ban lifted, giving a big boost to Andhra’s fishing and aquaculture industries.

Together, both Naidu and Lokesh are showing that Andhra Pradesh is now thinking bigger, broader and more global, ready to welcome investments from every corner of the world.
