Former Chief Minister YS Jagan recently flew to London for a family vacation to spend time with his daughter, who is studying there. However, a major complication arose as Jagan reportedly provided a wrong phone number for contact to the CBI court.
The CBI took the matter very seriously and filed a complaint with the court. During today’s hearing, the CBI stated that they tried to call Jagan three times on the number he had provided, but he was not accessible.
The CBI emphasized that Jagan gave a wrong contact number and was unreachable during his London trip. They further argued that Jagan should not be permitted to leave the country in the future for committing such lapses and requested the court not to encourage foreign trips.
The court has completed hearing the matter and reserved its judgment for October 28. If the court sides with the CBI, Jagan might be barred from traveling abroad for vacations in the future. However, if the court does not find the complaint sufficient, considering that Jagan has already returned to India, there may not be any significant consequences.
