Jagan Appeals to Court to Skip Hearing After London Trip!

The disproportionate assets cases against YS Jagan have been in the jurisdiction of the courts for a decade now but there has been very little progress regarding the same in the recent past. 

Incidentally, Jagan is happily flying off for foreign vacations by seeking permission from the court without much of a legal restraint. He did the same three weeks back as he flew to London on a family vacation. 

However, the condition set by the CBI court was that Jagan must mandatorily appear for investigation after he’s back from the London trip. He was supposed to appear in front of the court before November 14. 

But as expected, Jagan has again sought the court’s permission to evade the court appearance. He filed a new petition at the CBI court today, asking to exempt him from the appearance. 

Jagan reportedly said the government will have to arrange security and logistics if he has to appear in court and stated that this would be unnecessary efforts. Instead, he wishes to send his lawyer. He even offered to appear virtually for the hearing if needed but doesn’t wish to attend physically.  

Notably, CBI recently got furious with Jagan for giving wrong phone number before going on London trip. So there was the expectation that the CBI court could be reprimanding Jagan in this case. But Jagan is doing all he can to evade it at any cost.
