For a long time, now, the talent pool in Andhra Pradesh kept migrating to neighbouring states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Telangana for employment opportunities. However, the current IT minister Lokesh has placed a lot of emphasis on retaining this talent pool and developing Andhra Pradesh.
The same is to be understood if you look at the latest social media conversation between an entrepreneur and Lokesh on Twitter, a short while back.
Reacting to an earlier post from Lokesh, an Entrepreneur from the Konaseema region of Andhra Pradesh sought his support for an ongoing AI project that is being built in a remote village in Konaseema.
An individual named Phanindra Reddy shared a post about his upcoming voice AI project which even has the backing of US clients. “we are also building our own voice ai platform from andhrapradesh, from a village in konaseema and has paying enteprise clients in the usa completely bootstrapped, would love your support in this journey sir” he wrote.
This quickly got the attention of IT minister Lokesh, who then instructed his own office and also the administration at Ratan Tata innovations to assist Phanindra on this inspiring AI journey.
It is already known that chief minister, Chandrababu and Lokesh have been aspiring to develop Andhra Pradesh as the AI capital of India. They have partner with top companies like Tata, Microsoft and others to build an AI ecosystem in the state. This process could get that much enriched if the local talent is also contributing and that’s exactly what appears to be happening now.
