It has become a common tradition for Andhra Pradesh, IT minister Lokesh to announce new investment projects in the state. Yesterday at 9 AM, Lokesh announced that leading renewable energy manufacturer ReNew is coming back to AP after 2019 debacle of the Jagan government.
And today again at 9 in the morning, Lokesh dropped another huge positive update regarding a renewable energy investment plan.
According to the latest update provided by Lokesh, Brookfield Asset Management is coming to Andhra Pradesh, with a landmark investment of $12 billion (₹1.1 lakh crores) across renewable energy, battery and pumped storage, solar manufacturing and other decarbonization initiatives.
Apart from this, Brookfield will also participate in diverse sectors including data centers, commercial real estate, GCCs, infrastructure, and ports. This marquee investment will reinforce Andhra Pradesh’s position as a leading destination for sustainable and transformative investments not just in India but globally.
The constant desire to place Andhra Pradesh as the renewable energy capital of India is clearly reflecting with several leading companies globally queuing up to set shop in the state.
Andhra Pradesh has abundance of solar and wind energy, which makes it a perfect destination for renewable energy manufacturing companies. The good thing here is that the NDA government has rightly assessed the same and getting things done.
