For the last couple of years, former IT minister of Telangana KTR had been facing a peculiar situation in connection with the Formula E scam. Things are starting to go haywire for him with the investigating authorities cracking down on the investigation.
The ACB had already questioned KTR four times in connection with this scam. They had even appealed to the Telangana governor to prosecute KTR in connection with the same.
It is already established that the ACB conducted a detailed probe for nine months, examining every angle. On September 9, it wrote to the Governor seeking approval to prosecute the MLA. After ten weeks, the approval has now been given.
Now that the Telangana governor has finally approved prosecution charges against KTR, there might be some pretty significant legal action coming his way in the near future.
It is reported that the ACB is likely to press prosecution charges and file a charge sheet against KTR and IAS officer, Arvind Kumar shortly after the approval.
