It is already known that the government of Andhra Pradesh has fully embraced the “ Speed of doing business” culture. IT minister Lokesh and chief minister Chandra Babu have made it very clear that company will be provided with on time, incentives and referendum to start their project immediately if they invest in AP.
This is very much evident if we look at the case of cognizant, which is setting up a massive investment project in Vizag.
Earlier it was expected that cognizant would be entering the Vizag market by the second quarter of 2026, considering that they need to 1st complete the mega construction in the designated 21 acre land in Kapuluppada. But the latest development are suggesting that cognizant could be entering Vizag quicker than expected.
Reportedly the leading IT giant is likely to set up a temporary delivery centre in Vizag by January 2026, and begin operations correspondingly. This is a part of the elaborate delivery timeline that cognizant had set up as they wish to start the operations in Andhra Pradesh much quicker than what was expected.
When the government itself is proactive in inviting leading companies, then the same energy will be reflected by the private investors, and that is exactly what is happening in the case of cognizant now.
