Considering the intense warfare like situation, and the consequent verbal abuse that happens between rival parties in the Assembly generally, people have gradually grown away from watching these sessions. In the previous tenure, it had reached a point where 3-time CM Chandrababu had to exit the assembly after his wife was personally abused in the house. This is the lowest of lows.
And now the NDA government is taking every measure to perform the Assembly session procedure and they have taken very innovative step now.
As designed and executed by IT and education minister Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh held first of its kind mock assembly session featuring school going kids today. This session was held on the occasion of Constitution day and it’s an unprecedented concept.
The special thing about this Assembly is that it features almost entirely only children. A special set piece that replicates Andhra Pradesh, Assembly, including the speaker podium was specially designed to accommodate students who played the roles of MLAs and other dignitaries in the assembly.
Among Assembly session was held where students were educated on the practises of the house and the rightful way of running the assembly. This should educate and encourage kids to get a clear idea of how an effective assembly just proceed.
After witnessing all the horrifying things that happened in the AP Assembly back in the day, this innovative new session today is a fresh reprieve. It was good to see young kids proactively partaking in the same and pacing themselves so well in the mock session.
