High Command Will Say When Deputy CM Can Become CM

Karnataka politics are usually very entertaining and have a lot of drama associated with it. A similar passage is being observed now as the power struggle has reached a point where CM and deputy CM are in a Cold War for power.

This originated after deputy CM DK Siva Kumar insisted that the Congress high command must honour their word and give him the CM post soon. However, CM Siddharamaiah is reluctant to lose his position and the high command is In a tussle to deal with the same.

In this context, the last few days have been interesting as the DCM went to CM’s house for breakfast to discuss current affairs. And this is followed by the CM’s visit to Siva Kumar’s house today.

Shortly after this breakfast meeting, the chief minister briefly impacted with Kannada Media and he was asked when Siva Kumar could become the CM and he had an interesting reaction to the same.

Siddaramaiah said Siva Kumar will become the chief minister “When the Congress high command decides.” This weak statement is perhaps a reflection of the ongoing power struggle in Karnataka.

It is being reported that Siva Kumar was promised the CM position 2.5 years after the formation of the government and he is holding the high command on that word now. But veteran CM Siddaramaiah is reluctant to give away his position and this is where things are going rough.
