Congress Leader Silently Met Thalapathy Vijay? What’s Up?

Tamil Nadu politics are starting to spice up as the Assembly elections are coming up in barely six months from now, and all the leading parties are preparing the ground for the same. It is now being established that Thalapathy Vijay is also in the mix of things as multiple avenues start to open up for him.

The latest reports from a reputed media channel that has a reputation of breaking exclusive stories are suggesting that Thalapathy Vijay held a silent meeting with a top representative of the Congress party. 

According to this report, Praveen Chakravarty, who is one of the top ranked names in the Congress Administration and is a close associate of Rahul Gandhi reportedly met with Thalapathy Vijay on Friday. 

This meeting comes shortly after the Congress top leadership had already met their current partners in Tamil Nadu, DMK’s Stalin and requested 40 MLA tickets for the upcoming election. However, it is reported that Stalin is not a favour of this proposal and wants to confine Congress to 25-30 seats. 

In this context, the meeting between Rahul Gandhi associate and Thalapathy Vijay at a secret venue on Friday has grabbed the attention in Tamil Nadu politics. 

At a time when India had already kept its doors open for Thalapathy this meeting with the Congress representative is all the more substantial. It looks like Thalapathy Vijay has emerged as a favourite tool for the leading parties out there in Tamil Nadu. 

But at the heart of it, Vijay is keeping all of his options open till now, as he did not consolidate any alliance and looking to exploit the best route that opens up for him during the poll race.
