For AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, 2025 has turned out to be a decisive year. Although he assumed office in June last year for the fourth time, the initial months were spent dealing with financial stress, administrative reshuffling, and policy coordination issues left behind by the previous YCP government. This year, however, he managed to take firm control of governance and gain a clearer grip on the state’s overall situation.
Naidu focused strongly on reviewing past decisions, especially issues related to state finances and borrowings. At the same time, he began taking concrete steps on key matters like Amaravati, signalling a clear direction on long pending issues.
One of the major highlights of 2025 has been his push for investments. From January to the previous month, Naidu toured several countries including Switzerland, Singapore, the UK, and Dubai to attract global investors. These efforts were further strengthened by the CII summit held in Visakhapatnam, which helped project Andhra Pradesh as an investment friendly destination. His success in bringing a Google data centre to the state reflected his focus on the IT sector and strategic planning.
Employment and job creation have also worked in his favour, helping him rebuild and strengthen his public image. Politically, Naidu adopted a noticeably different approach this year. Instead of reacting sharply to internal party disputes, he chose a more cautious and calculated path. This strategy helped defuse tensions, with many issues settling down on their own.
On the public front, the government consistently highlighted welfare schemes and development initiatives, which helped improve public perception. Overall, 2025 has seen Chandrababu Naidu strengthen his leadership position both within the state and at the national and international level. The recognition from Economic Times as Business Reformer 2025 further added to his standing. By the end of the year, his political and administrative graph clearly showed an upward trend.
