All bad deeds done while in power are coming back to haunt YSR Congress party leaders one by one after losing in the 2024 elections in Andhra Pradesh. One such tainted leader who is facing serious consequences for his past actions is former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi.
Out on bail a few months ago after serving remand period in jail on several charges in different cases filed against him, Vamsi has reportedly went into hiding again with the fear of arrest in a fresh case as per the latest whispers in political circles and print media reports.
Reportedly, a new case was recently booked in the Machavaram police station of Vijayawada in connection with an attempt murder of a person named Sunil. The incident was said to have taken place in June 2024 and Vamsi is facing allegations for orchestrating the crime by provoking some of his followers to attak Sunil.
Last week, when the police authorities tried to summon Vamsi in connection with enquiry into this case, the former Gannavaram MLA has reportedly went into hiding to avoid arrest after he was denied anticipatory bail by the High Court. His whereabouts are yet not known and the police have initiated efforts to trace him.
Vamsi has already been facing numerous charges relating to illegal mining, kidnap, SC/ST atrocity and also for playing a crucial role in the infamous attack on TDP central office. He was arrested by AP police earlier this year after many cases were booked against him with firm evidence.
After switching loyalties in 2020, Vamsi abused Chandrababu Naidu and his family several times. He was accused of instigating his supporters to attack TDP office in Gannavaram. He suffered a massive defeat in the 2024 elections and started bearing the brunt for his activities.
