Former Telangana CM and BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao is facing criticism for attending the Assembly briefly and leaving within minutes. Congress leaders have accused him of coming only to mark attendance and not taking part in discussions.
Adding to the debate, his daughter and BRS leader Kalvakuntla Kavitha has also made strong remarks. She said if KCR does not attend the Assembly properly, the future of the BRS will be at risk. Kavitha stated that when mistakes happen, KCR should be present in the House and face questions.
Kavitha also warned leaders like Harish Rao and others not to abandon the Assembly or waste valuable House time. She questioned Harish Rao’s role and made sharp comments against him. At the same time, she criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s language against KCR, calling it inappropriate and offensive.
On another front, Kavitha met the Legislative Council Chairman regarding her resignation as MLC and from BRS, which she submitted on September 3. Since the resignation is still pending, she reportedly requested permission to speak in the Council before it is accepted. She wants to raise issues related to the Palamuru Rangareddy project and said she is ready to provide all evidence to the SIT if summoned.
Now, political circles are watching closely to see how the Council Chairman will respond to Kavitha’s request.
