Telangana has been witnessing continuous electoral campaigns, including the Assembly by elections, followed by the recent Sarpanch election and the forthcoming municipal election.
The election commission is likely to issue the schedule for the upcoming municipal elections very soon, but the chances are that this could be held in February.
In this context, Janasena has made a significant announcement today as the party communicated in principal that they would be contesting the upcoming municipal elections in Telangana.
Just a few minutes back, Janasena communicated on social media that the party would be contesting the municipal elections and called for its supporters and workers to prepare for the same.
JSP president Kalyan had expressed multiple times that he would like his party to grow in Telangana as well, and this upcoming municipal elections will provide an opportunity for the same. But considering the NDA alliance involving Janasena, TDP and BJP in Andhra Pradesh, it has to be seen how these parties would contest the municipal elections in Telangana now.
