Generally, the Sankranti festival season is celebrated with near and dear ones by common public and top leadership of the government alike. But in the case of Telangana chief minister, Revanth Reddy, there’s no such thing as an off day.
Incidentally, even on the occasion of Sankranti, January 15, Revanth Reddy remained on the job as he met the representatives of the Indian army.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the speedy resolution of land-related and other administrative issues between the Indian Army and the Government of Telangana.
The Chief Minister placed several representations before the senior Army Officials on behalf of the Telangana Government. He requested that the possibility of shifting the Southern Command Centre Headquarters to Hyderabad be examined.
Revanth also urged the Army authorities to establish a Sainik School in Telangana, pointing out that while other states in the country have been allotted two to four Sainik Schools each, Telangana has not been sanctioned even a single Sainik School over the past ten years.
While the rest of the administration and the common public was also happily celebrating Sankranti festival at the comfort of their homes, Revanth remained to be on the job as the CM. This is again with the fact that Revanth had recently pointed out he didn’t take a single day leave after getting elected as CM and he appears to be firm on upholding this spirit.
