80 Yr Old Babu Can’t Compete With Me: YS Jagan

Former Chief Minister YS Jagan is back on his weekly visit to Andhra Pradesh after a long time. He addressed the Telugu media at the Tadepalli office and made a series of provocative comments against Chandrababu Naidu.

The primary focus of Jagan’s interaction with the media today was the Land Titling Act. Jagan stated that the idea of land titling and a complete land resurvey was his initiative and claimed full credit for completing the process before 2024.

“Chandrababu says he introduced the QR code on land passbooks. But in reality, it was I who introduced it. It is sad to see Chandrababu claiming credit for things he did not do,” Jagan said.

Jagan then made a striking remark, saying, “Chandrababu and my father YSR were contemporaries in politics. In the current situation, Chandrababu cannot even compete with me, let alone my father. I am almost the same age as Chandrababu’s son, but he still cannot match me.” The exact Telugu words used by Jagan were, “Chandrababu natho competition cheyyaledu, maa nayana katha Devudu erugu.”

Jagan later returned to the land titling issue and spoke for nearly two hours on the same topic. It appeared to be a preemptive move, as he focused entirely on land records and the ongoing resurvey in Andhra Pradesh.

Just days after the Chandrababu Naidu government introduced the land resurvey in the state, Jagan seemed unsettled and began claiming full credit for the initiative in front of the media.

Earlier, during his tenure as Chief Minister, Jagan faced criticism for printing his photograph on land passbooks, which did not go down well with public. Additionally, his name and photo were also printed on boundary stones distributed by the government. After facing significant public backlash over these actions, Jagan took nearly two years to speak publicly on the issue.
