The BRS ecosystem historically had issues with ABN Andhra Jyothi, and this first started when KCR tried to suppress the channel back when he was the CM over a controversial news story. Ever since then, these two entities had a hot and cold relationship.
Now we have reached the climax portion as the BRS has communicated that they would be completely boycotting the ABN channel from now on.
This comes shortly after a controversial debate that happened on ABN channel recently when a verbal brawl broke out between BRS representative Takkallapalli Ravindra Rao and ABN anchor Venkata Krishna. This led to Venkat Krishna saying to the BRS MLC “Get out from channel”.
This has obviously hurt the sensibilities of the BRS, and the High command has reacted by saying they would be completely boycotting ABN channel and will not take part in any of their future coverages.
The BRS has also added that they would not be inviting Andhra Jyothi channel representatives to any of their press conferences in the future either.
