After having played a significant role in executing the Hitech city boom in Hyderabad, Chandrababu Naidu is now coming up with an ambitious plan for Andhra Pradesh’s capital Amaravati. He is going to take a pretty big step in this direction today as the Amaravati quantum Valley foundation ceremony is scheduled to be held later in the day.
February 7 is going to be the big day that could potentially shape the future of Andhra Pradesh by placing the state as the quantum hub of India and related developments are unfolding quickly now.
The government is aiming to establish a quantum computing hub with India’s first 133-qubit quantum computer, partnering with IBM, TCS, L&T, and others to boost innovation in quantum tech.
This mega project is expected to create around 88,000 jobs, and train lakhs of students. From AI and drug discovery to secure banking and next-gen communications, Amaravati is positioning itself as India’s next global tech hub.
The government has allocated a total of 9,000,000 ft.² for this massive project and more allocations will be made in the future based on the efficiency of the quantum hub.
Considering the fact that quantum computing is set to shape the future of deep tech globally, it is good to see Andhra Pradesh, under the leadership of AP CM Chandrababu and the supervision of IT Minister Nara Lokesh, staying ahead of the game in India, as this will give a natural advantage to the capital city.
