BJP Can Take On TRS, Not Congress: Konda

The early trends in the GHMC elections counting show that the BJP is leading while the ruling TRS party is in second place. Generally this trend turns out to be the main result also and so the BJP is optimistic about the result. However, the Congress is nowhere in the picture as it has fallen to fourth place after MIM.

On the Congress party and it’s presence, former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy made interesting comments. Taking to his twitter, Konda stated that Postal ballots reflect the opinion of the employees and the elderly. In the same tweet, he wrote, “Two things are clear. 1) General public are against TRS 2) They feel only BJP can take on TRS in GHMC not Congress.”

Going by his comments, Konda is clear that Congress party is not doing much to counter the ruling TRS party in Telangana. But did these comments mean that Konda is looking at BJP? Though he did not mention anything about this but added TRS cannot use these tactics on BJP which is in power with a bigger lathi in the Centre.

If BJP wins GHMC elections, who knows Konda might rethink leaving Congress and joining BJP.
