Will Jagan Dare to Go Against BJP?

Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections are going to happen this summer. This election is very crucial for the BJP because Tamil Nadu is the only state along with Kerala where it is yet to taste success. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are already giving their 100% to end the Dravidian rule at any cost.

In this process, it is even including smaller parties in its fold. The BJP recently even included TTV Dinakaran’s party, which has no vote bank at all. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also unofficially launched his election campaign here on Sunday.

The Pressure is on the ruling DMK. The BJP and AIADMK are likely to be on one side and Vijay’s TVK Party is contesting independently. That leaves only DMK on the other side.

It is known that Chief Minister MK Stalin is close to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. There are rumors that they are even Business Partners. If we recall, Stalin was one of the high-profile guests at Jagan’s swearing-in ceremony in 2019.

There are rumors that DMK is expecting YSR Congress’s Support in the election especially in the areas bordering Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.

YSRCP leader and former minister Roja attended an event in Chennai held to celebrate CM Stalin’s birthday on Sunday. She appeared like she officially launched her campaign. The main question is whether the BJP will tolerate the YSRCP campaigning against them in an election which it has taken so seriously.

Probably, Jagan Mohan Reddy will not dare to snub the BJP High Command especially when he is in the Opposition. Roja may have gone to Tamil Nadu because of her connections in that state. Maybe she did not take Jagan’s approval before going there.

Even though the BJP is in alliance with the TDP and Janasena in Andhra Pradesh, it is not touching YSR Congress.

YSR Congress will collapse like a pack of cards if Modi and Shah decide to muzzle Jagan Mohan Reddy using the pending CBI and ED cases. There is also the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case, a political observer remarked.

Jagan made sure he supported every bill of the BJP in the Parliament even at the heights of his popularity (2019-2024). There is no way he will take the risk when his party is in deep trouble with just eleven MLA seats and three MP seats right now.
