What Now! YCP Goes To Court Against Google @ Vizag?

The government of Andhra Pradesh has been taking several progressive measures with regard to the enhancement of the investment opportunities in the state. One of the crucial steps in this direction is the allotment of the Google data center in Vizag.

Google data centre is a hallmark investment opportunity for Andhra Pradesh, and it is also one of the biggest development projects by Google anywhere in the world. The tech giant is proposing to spend in the vicinity of $15 billion in a span of five years.

However, the opposition YSR Congress doesn’t appear to be pleased with this massive investment project in Vizag and have approached the court against the same.

According to the latest reports, YSR Congress MP Maddali Gurumurthy, who represents the Tirupati Parliamentary constituency has approached the court against the Google data Centre. 

Reportedly, the MP had approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court on 26th of February questioning the allotment of land parcel for this Google project by the government of Andhra Pradesh. 

This case is scheduled to come to a hearing today, March 11 at the High Court and this is one of the detrimental things to have happened to Andhra Pradesh in recent times. The fact that YCP is going to court against the biggest investment project in Andhra Pradesh, till now is perhaps a reflection of the polar mindset.

A social media user commented that the previous government did not bring any notable investments to the state and now that something big is happening, they’re first to approach the court against the same. 

Now we have to patiently wait and see how the Andhra Pradesh High Court to deal with this scenario, considering that the allocations are done already and the development process will s underway.
