Harish’s Apology to MB Fans – An Alert for Bigwigs!

Words once spoken can never be taken back. Similarly, comments once made on social media cannot be easily erased even if they are deleted because users are so active to take a screenshot and save them as proof.

Tollywood director Harish Shankar is now mired in a similar controversy for making an unnecessary remark through his official social media handle on Tuesday night. He quickly realised the mistake and issued an apology in order to control the damage of his needless comment which was made while replying to a follower’s post on X.

Going into the news, the Ustaad Bhagat Singh director replied ‘ Thadasthu’ ( consider it is done) when one of his followers suggested that the Pawan Kalyan starrer should surpass the box office records of what purportedly appear to be that of Superstar Mahesh Babu.

His controversial reaction immediately triggered huge backlash from the fanbase of the actor on social media platforms. Harish Shankar immediately realised his tactless blunder and deleted the said post after a few minutes. But, users took screenshot of the post and started making it viral in no time.

As there has been considerable criticism aimed at him for creating unnecessary discord among supporters of actors for the sake of records ahead of the release of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Harish Shankar immediately responded and issued an apology to correct his mistake.

Just a while ago, he took to his X account and posted a note to apologise the actor and his fans for making an inadvertent comment after partially reading his follower’s tweet. Harish clarified that he made that remark in a moment of rush due to his busy commitments involving the post production activities of Ustaad Bhagat Singh but not intended to hurt anyone.

Harish further stated that he holds immense respect for Mahesh Babu and also expressed confidence that the upcoming film Varanasi will break numerous box office records. He tendered sincere apologies and requested fans of all actors to support Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

This timely response from Harish Shankar may not fully wipe out the damage done by his post, but will surely lessen the impact of the controversy to some extent as the film’s release is just a few days away.

The incident once again highlights why celebrities should be cautious while making any comments on social media platforms because even a small controversy can have a noticeable impact on the theatrical prospects of films.

Meanwhile, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is gearing up for a grand release on March 19. It marks the second collaboration of Harish Shankar with Pawan Kalyan.
