It was not long ago that the entire YS family was united and on good terms. But that is no longer the case, as YS Jagan has taken legal action against his sister Sharmila and mother Vijayamma.
In view of the ongoing disputes related to Saraswati Power Company and Classic Realty share distribution, Jagan has approached the National Company Law Tribunal against Sharmila and Vijayamma.
Jagan and Bharathi have written to the tribunal stating that the shares earlier transferred to Vijayamma as part of a gift deed are now being illicitly transferred to Sharmila, which is against their wishes.
Now, Vijayamma has responded to the tribunal regarding these developments and made some notable statements. In her written reply, she clarified that she is not a benami for Sharmila and does not have any vested interests in favor of any family member.
Vijayamma reportedly stated that she is distributing family assets according to the wishes of her husband, late chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy. She emphasized that there is no illegal distribution of company assets or family wealth.
The fact that Jagan’s mother and the wife of late chief minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Vijayamma, has had to publicly state that she is not a benami for anyone highlights the seriousness of the issue. A political analyst noted that it is unfortunate for an elderly woman to face such a situation at this stage of her life, especially involving her own son.
