Kavitha’s Masterplan To Take Away ‘TRS’?

Telangana politics are starting to spice up steadily with more than two years to go for the elections. The latest addition to the list is the potentially consequential comment made by KCR’s daughter Kavitha, who is searching her own political identity in the state.

In her latest interaction with the media today, Kavitha pointed out that she is coming up with an old name and new principles to launch her political party. This was followed by a highly interesting comment made by the former BRS leader and it doesn’t making for a good viewing of KCR and KTR loyalists. 

Kavita stated that Telangana Rashtra Samiti is in public domain now, and anyone can use this party name henceforth. She pointed out that KCR changing the party name to BRS has vacated the old name of TRS, which is available to everyone now. 

This could be a strong indication of the fact that Kavitha could be considering the idea of naming her own political party as Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS). She clearly implied the same while briefing the media today.

If at all Kavitha would hijack the TRS name, it would be of great importance in Telangana politics. Kavita is anyway a descendant of KCR and she will have full right in climbing the TRS legacy in the public. Another factor here is that she will have the added luxury of using an already established name like TRS which would make her task of penetrating her party into Telangana that much more easier. 

This should be a very clever move from Kavita if she actually decides to name her party TRS as this is a household name for the Telangana masses.

There is another speculation in circulation here as there have been recent theories about BRS leadership disproving the Bharath Rashtra Samiti name as it takes away the Telangana sentiment. There were multiple reports about the BRS camp, contemplating the idea of switching back to TRS. But in case, Kavita registers this name first, it would block away any future advancement from BRS to get back to the old TRS name. 

While fighting with Revanth Reddy itself was a challenge and half for the BRS ecosystem, this new brewing conflict with Kavitha, who could be grabbing TRS is going to be another major hurdle, a neutral analyst told Gulte.com.
