No political party in India has so many inhibitions and apprehensions when it comes to the capital of the state as YSR congress has towards Amaravati. The kind of dillydallying they have displayed towards this capital region is beyond comprehension.
On one hand, Jagan comes in front of the media and says MAVIGUN – Machilipatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur is the optimal capital region. On the other hand, other YCP leaders spread endless agenda against the capital by calling it an economically irresponsible project that costs lakhs of crores.
And now we have another twist in the YCP narrative as Gudivada Amarnath said Amaravati is also a part of the MAVIGUN project. He said Amaravati falls under the land area that is a part of the MAVIGUN plan of Jagan.
And at the same time, he self contradicted, this comment by saying Amaravati might be a ghost town in the future that had dead investments that accounted for nothing. While categorically saying Amaravati is a part of MAVIGUN, he called it a non feasible project at the same level.
The hard fact is that Jagan had blatantly ignored and defected Amaravati capital region during his time as the CM. There was this constant desire to move to Vizag for the last couple of years in his tenure.
And now that Vizag capital proposal has been blatantly ignored, Jagan and his YCP, keep going all out about Amaravati. On odd days, they speak inclusively about Amaravati by saying, It will not be ignored by Jagan and will continue to be developed, and on even day, words like “2 lakh crore” and “ghost town” are used to defame and humiliate the capital.
Social media comments are saying that YCP is possibly the only party in the country that fights against the very existence of the capital in the state.
