MP Compares AP-Telangana Bifurcation To India-Pak: SM Explodes!

It has been a decade and half since the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, but even to this day, this is a burning topic. This got aggravated further with the latest provocation made by Karnataka MP Tejasvi Surya.

This young MP was speaking in the Parliament regarding the newly proposed delimitation bill that’s extensively discussed by the NDA alliance. This was when things took an ugly turn after the MP compared the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to the bifurcation of India and Pakistan.

Out of the blue, this MP from Karnataka said the bygone UPA government was so ridiculous with the division of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana back then that it replicated the horrendous way the British split India and Pakistan. 

This immediately kickstarted away of negativity on social media as everyone started calling out the MP for making such a sly remark on AP and Telangana. 

Reacting to this, a Telugu guy posted “ When our state formation is insulted in Parliament, silence is not diplomacy — it’s cowardice.

While Tejasvi Surya makes irresponsible remarks about Telangana, what are the 17 MPs of Telangana doing? Just watching? You were elected to protect Telangana’s pride, not to sit silent when our ఉద్యమం is disrespected. This is not just politics — this is about Telangana’s self-respect. If you can’t speak for Telangana, you don’t deserve to represent it.”

Another Twitter user posted “But your party has also supported that day tejaswi.” A Kannada social media posted .

This guy elected in bengaluru north won’t talk about his constituency ever. Never bought funds to suburban rail! Never bought funds to metro. Waste body elected in the name of religion always talk irrelevant thinks to his constituency.” Another commented.
