Nandyala politics is slowly turning one sided. TDP leader and minister Farooq is becoming more active and visible, while YSRCP seems to be losing grip in the constituency.
Farooq is not just working politically but also building a strong connection with people. His efforts in helping minority groups, including support for Hajj yatras, brought him good recognition. Even Chandrababu Naidu appreciated his performance recently. This is clearly helping TDP gain strength in Nandyala.
On the other side, YSRCP activities look weak. Young leader Shilpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy is hardly visible in public. There are very few party programs, and this is creating a negative impression among cadres and voters.
Looking back, YSRCP first won here in 2014 with Bhuma Nagi Reddy, but political shifts and his sudden death changed the scene. TDP regained control later, and in 2019, after YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s padayatra impact, YSRCP won again. But the momentum did not last.
In the latest election, Shilpa lost by over 12,000 votes, even after Allu Arjun campaigned for him. Since then, instead of staying active in politics, he is said to be focusing more on business. This is becoming a big minus point.
Now, inside YSRCP, leaders are openly discussing that Shilpa may not get the ticket next time. With no strong activity from his side and Farooq gaining ground, the situation in Nandyala is becoming uncertain for YSRCP.
All eyes are now on who will get the ticket in the next election and whether YSRCP can recover before it is too late.
