MLA Gifts Land to 10th Toppers in Andhra Pradesh

In a rare move, TDP Srikalahasti MLA Bojjala Sudheer Reddy announced a unique reward for top-performing Class 10 students from government schools in Srikalahasti. Instead of cash prizes or gadgets, he promised three cents of land to each state-level topper from government schools.

The initiative aims to encourage academic excellence while giving students a strong foundation for their future. The MLA urged them to study further, build successful careers, and one day construct their own homes on the gifted land.

The decision has drawn attention across the state, with many calling it a meaningful way to motivate students, especially those from modest backgrounds.

After Nara Lokesh assumed charge as Education Minister, many improvements have become visible. For the first time, the government has also released full-length newspaper advertisements featuring top rankers from government schools. This is a big encouragement to students and shows they are no less than those from private schools.
