There were a lot of apprehensions and doubts about the performance of Thalapathy Vijay’s TVK party in the Tamil Nadu assembly election. This primarily came from the fact that this is the first ever election campaign for Vijay and people were sceptical about his performance.
However, Thalapathy Vijay is turning out to be a sensationally big deal in Tamil Nadu, as he is currently leading the chief minister race in the state.
Vijay’s TVK leading in 100 constituencies across Tamil Nadu, which is the highest for a single party in the current election. This is significantly more than the conventional parties like the AIADMK and DMK, which are leading in 69 and 51 constituencies respectively.
In the current scenario, it is Vijay who is leading the chief minister race, and if this number is sustained for the next few hours, then there is every chance that he will become the next chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
It has been a while since Indian politics witnessed a scenario where a cinema superstar entered politics and became the chief minister in his very first term and this could be the case with Thalapathy Vijay.
