Tamil Nadu chief minister Stalin lost the Kolathur Assembly constituencies in Chennai at a time when his DMK party was getting uprooted from power.

Losing the chief minister position itself is a hard pill to swallow, and Stalin is now having to deal with an even peculiar scenario as he ended up losing as an MLA as well.

Stalin did a reasonably good job as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu by placing the state second on the list of Indian states with the highest GDP. But this did not convert words as SDMK got restricted to 60 seats.

Stalin will now have to take the back step in Tamil Nadu politics and his son Uday will have to lead the DMK in the Assembly. This is the worst possible outcome that Stalin would have expected, considering that he had been serving as an MLA for four decades.
