1st Indian CM With Black Blazer @ Assembly!

Politics can get very repetitive in nature, and this starts from the dressing level itself. This is perhaps the reason why we see Andhra Pradesh, CM Chandrababu Naidu in his trademark khakhi shirt and pant look all the time. We have YS Jagan, who comes up in white shirt and khakhi pant.

Along with that, many other politicians also have very stable clothing choices with regard to public appearances. Now the discussion is about Tamil Nadu chief minister, Thalapathy Vijay who appears to be creating a new visual optic of his own.

For his swearing in ceremony yesterday, Vijay came up with a pleasant surprise as he wore a black blazer on his white shirt. This created an interesting visual as people were surprised to see the CM in a blazer, which doesn’t happen usually.

Today, Vijay again followed the same format of dressing as he came to the Assembly for the first time to take the oath as an MLA in a black blazer. If this is an indication of anything, then it could perhaps be understood that Vijay appears to have decided that this blazer look will be his staple appearance.

In the recent past, we have not seen any chief minister consistently carry the blazer look. So if Vijay actually decides to carry on with this styling choice, then he would be the first chief minister in recent times to don the black blazer.

Even people are bored with the standard clothing choices of simple shirts and pants of leading politicians. So if Vijay actually decides to carry this black blazer look, it would offer a new visual experience not just for his followers but political followers in general as well.

In the main while, Vijay has scripted history in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, as he entered the house directly as the chief minister even before he could do so as an MLA. It has been many decades since something like this had happened.
