More Drama Ahead Of Vijay’s Floor Test!

Thalapathy Vijay became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu after high drama of five days.

The Governor behaved very strict and did not invite him to form the Government without proving the majority. Finally, he was allowed after submitting the signatures of support from the MLAs of five other parties.

Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has directed the Vijay-led government to prove its majority on or before May 13.

Everyone thought the Floor Test will be a mere formality, but it looks like there will be more drama.

VCK chief Thol. Thirumavalavan questioned why ‘Vande Mataram’ was played at the beginning of the oath-taking ceremony. He stated that Vijay attempting to instill fear by highlighting only the absolute debt figures serves no purpose other than fulfilling narrow political agendas.

He added that TVK had sought the support of VCK, CPI, CPI(M), and IUML to form the government, but these actions during the swearing-in ceremony have created considerable unease among the supporting parties.

CPI also questioned TVK, asking whether they were trying to appease the Governor by playing ‘Vande Mataram’ at the start.

Except for Congress, all the parties announced that they would continue alliance with DMK and will be providing outside support to TVK.

Now these threats are giving rise to questions if they will do something in the Floor Test.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that 36 AIADMK MLAs are revolting and may extend their support to TVK. There are Forty Seven AIADMK MLAs. If thirty six of them are revolting, they do not attract the Anti-Defection Law as well since two-thirds are shifting.

If that happens, the smaller parties cannot blackmail Vijay and he will be very comfortably placed.

But then, Vijay has to answer why took the same leaders whom he previously called ‘Corrupt’ but then, that scenario will be much easy than leading a Government that is blackmailed by smaller parties.

At least he can concentrate on administration and executing the promises made before the elections.
