Skill University – Game Changer For AP Youth

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu laid the stone for the BISER Skill University and Medical College at Nidamarru in Mangalagiri mandal on Wednesday. The university is being established as part of a larger plan to create 1,00,000 jobs, with focus on providing training in AI and modern technology.

Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said that the coalition government aims to provide training in skill development to 1,00,000 people. Even doctors would get trained in using AI, he said.

The Nidamarru KIMS Hospital would be completed by May 13, 2027.

The AP government, under the leadership of Naidu, aims to take a quantum leap in tech education and skill development. To achieve this, the government has partnership with IBM which would provide deep-tech training in AI and quantum technologies.

The coalition government has been iterating about development which includes upskilling the workforce in the state. Skilled employees form the backbone of reputed companies and industries. In order to help the businesses and industries which have plans to open shop in the state, the government is aiming at providing the required workers with necessary skills.

The Skill University intends to foster a skilled workforce by providing intensive training in fields that are required the most in various sectors. The university would provide practical and industry-oriented training to make the youth industry-ready and also improve employability in IT and manufacturing.

With nearly 43% of the population of the state being youth, and nearly 6.16 lakh unemployed youth, the state has plans to improve the skills of the youth to improve their chances of finding jobs.
