Telugu politics took a very interesting and drastic turn after senior journalist, professor Nageshwar Rao commented that Pawan Kalyan approached Amit Shah to get YS Jagan arrested. This seriously hurt JanaSena supporters and the filed a police complaint against Rao.
It was a later confirmed by Pawan Kalyan himself that he advised Andhra Pradesh, Police not to arrest Nageshwar Rao in Hyderabad. But just when people thought this would be the end of the controversy, it isn’t to be.
Where is this ongoing battle between a section of Telangana journalists and Janasena leadership here which is becoming a public and media nuisance.
The journalists who say they’re defending Nageshwar Rao has started to create theatrics after JSP Telangana leaders blowed open the matter a couple of days ago.
Pawan Kalyan did not say a single word against the journalist Union in Telangana, but this issue has somehow taken a detour and landed in a huge mess after JSP Telangana leaders reacted on the matter.
Incidentally, there was this recent incident at the Telangana press where certain journalists thrashed the picture of Pawan Kalyan with slippers and had hard emotions to express. This is extremely uncalled for considering that Kalyan did not say anything against journalists or Nageshwar Rao, nor did he take any action against anyone.
Political analysts who have assessed the matter are saying that the reaction from Telangana journalists has been to aggressive and uncalled for, epically the slipper slap incident. They are suspecting that there might be some political forces behind this extreme reaction to defame Pawan Kalyan in Andhra Pradesh.
Something that started off on a very petty and inconsequential note has now blown open into a full blown crisis situation and there’s the need to settle things down at the earliest.
