Revanth Counters Pawan with Jagan Example!

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Janasena party supremo Pawan Kalyan was at the center of a political storm in Telangana last week after an fiery exchange of statements with some of the prominent leaders belonging to Congress and other parties of the state.

What started as a typical political controversy turned into a full fledged regional issue after Pawan Kalyan was denied police permission by the ruling government to hold a public gathering in Hyderabad on Telangana formation day. However, the issue as boiled down as Pawan Kalyan maintained restraint in the next media interaction.

For the first time since this controversy unfolded, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy opened up about it. During an informal interaction (chit-chat) in the national capital just a while ago, he clarified that the state government’s decision to withhold permission for Pawan Kalyan’s scheduled public gathering in Hyderabad was strictly because by security reasons and law-and-order concerns.

“Pawan Kalyan is entirely free to visit Telangana, travel across the state, and participate in political activities,” Revanth Reddy told the media, seeking to downplay allegations of political intolerance.

“In Andhra Pradesh, even former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy was denied permission for public meetings on several occasions. Pawan Kalyan himself should clarify why those permissions were withheld back then.”

Revanth Reddy also addressed personal criticisms and regional political issues. Responding to opposition criticism regarding his political style, he firmly dismissed comparisons to authoritarian figures. “I have never said that Adolf Hitler is my role model. Would anyone living in a healthy democracy ever say that Hitler is their ideal?” he asked.
