YCP Begins Operation Kammas, TDP Clueless Again?

Telugu Desam Party seems to be not learning from past mistakes. In 2018, YSR Congress peddled a propaganda that Chandrababu is working only for his Kamma Community this time.

It all started with a Press Meet in Delhi where it is alleged that 33 out 37 DSPs appointed belongs to Kamma Community. The then-Chandrababu Naidu Government did nothing to counter it.

Later, when YSR Congress was in power in 2020, the then Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita in the Assembly clarified that there are only five Kamma DSPs in that thirty seven.

It was clear that TDP became a victim of that propaganda. But even in this term, it looks like the party is not alert.

Former IAS Officer Vijay Kumar who is leading an Ambedkarite Party to help YSR Congress made a stunning allegation in a YouTube interview. He alleged that several Kamma Community candidates were selected in the DSC in Sports Quota without even writing TET exam.

He said that Kamma candidates were denying opportunities for other castes with fake certificates.

In DSC, Sports Quota, there are 421 posts, only 382 got eligible because they should pass in TET and they should have participated in State-level competition in eligible sports. There are also reservations in this quota.

Thus, 39 candidates could not be selected even though there is availability of posts in the quota.

In this total 382 members, there are only 42 OCs selected and one in OC (EWS) quota. The remaining are SCs, and BCs. That makes it clear that the Vijay Kumar’s claim that majority of the selected are Kammas.

OCs means there can be Kamma, Kapu, Raju, Brahmin, Reddy, Vysyas, etc.

Ap Govt Fact Check clarified that nine of them are Kammas, the majority are Kapus who are sixteen, Reddys comes next with ten. That means Kammas are 2.32% of the total in Sports quota.

So, how can a former IAS officer simply say the majority are Kammas?

What is more shocking is how the Government is not making an effort to debunk Propagandas like this!

YSR Congress Social Media teams are on an overdrive spreading these videos to tarnish the image of a community and the Government.
