Social Media Talk: Nitin Gadkari Under the Radar!

One of the most significant developments in Indian politics happened today in the form of the resignation of education minister Dharmendra Pradhan in reaction to the Delhi students protest. He submitted his resignation a few hours back.

This can be considered as a significant victory to the cockroach janta party, which instigated this students movement in the first place. But this is not likely to be the end of the story as the cockroach party has announced that they could get one minister to resign, and now they have the ability to get others in a similar position.

Now a movement has already started against R& B minister Nitin Gadkari, who had been making wild comments on the petroleum supplies in India for a long time now.

Firstly, the blending of ethanol with petrol has been a major cause of concern at the public level for the last few months. Gadkari had been very dismissive of the same as he had been backing the Government’s policy saying this is for the better good. But his recent comment about blending more than 20% ethanol in petrol backfired badly.

Apparently, the cab drivers union has initiated the process of March to the Parliament on August 4 as a protest against the ethanol blended petrol that is being supplied in India. This would obviously hit the government very hard again.

This protest will primarily involve the petroleum minister Harshdeep Singh Puri as the ethanol blend fiasco involves his ministry. He is likely to face the heat next, if the E20 revolution actually catches up. Nithin Gadkari might also face the consequences for his support to this aspect and unwanted statements in recent times.

Till now, the Indian authorities have been very dismissive of the complaints against ethanol. But things are not looking very promising now as a protest is bound to happen, and it could also have a significant impact on Indian government.

After the rehash of the education sector, it appears that the public of India is focusing on the petroleum industry and this could spell bad news to Harshdeep and his team.
