PM Sets Up High Powered Panel to Reform NTA Exams

PM Narendra Modi has announced a high powered task force to bring major reforms to the NTA examination system. The move comes after repeated concerns over paper leaks and irregularities in competitive exams across the country.

The committee will be headed by Infosys co founder Nandan Nilekani. It also includes former ISRO Chairman S. Somanath, former IB Director Tapan Deka, IIT Madras Director V. Kamakoti, former Education Secretary Anita Karwal, and senior bureaucrat Amrit Lal Meena.

The panel has been asked to suggest ways to make NTA exams more transparent, secure, and technology driven. It will also recommend measures to prevent paper leaks, strengthen the examination process, and improve the overall system.

The committee is expected to submit its recommendations soon. Based on its report, the Centre is likely to introduce major changes to restore students’ confidence in the country’s competitive examination system.
