A family dispute involving Rajendranagar Congress MLA T Prakash Goud has become a political issue in Telangana.
His son Santosh Goud claimed he is in love with a woman from Manikonda and wants to marry her. He alleged that his father opposed the relationship and tried to stop the marriage.
Santosh claimed he was attacked for insisting on the marriage. He also alleged that his friends and supporters were assaulted. He further claimed that unidentified people went to the woman’s house and created trouble to intimidate her family.
Santosh alleged that when they approached Narsingi Police to file a complaint it was not accepted. He claimed there was an attempt to register a case against them instead. He said both families are living in fear and sought police protection.
MLA T Prakash Goud has not responded to the allegations so far. The claims have sparked political debate in Telangana while police are yet to issue an official statement.
