Great News: Amaravati Gets Visa Processing Office!

After facing unrelenting pressure and torment for a period of five years, Amaravati is finally back in the spotlight under the NDA government. Now this capital city is witnessing significant progress, and we have a latest addition to the list.

The union Ministry of home affairs has released a new notification that establishes an FRRO office in Amaravati, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh.

Modifying previous orders that placed AP under the Hyderabad FRRO, Andhra Pradesh will now fall under the new Amaravati office and it will oversee foreign visitor registrations, immigration affairs, visa extensions, and visa conversions.

With this significant development, Amaravati will become the 13th FRRO location across the country and considering the age of the city, this is pretty consolidated in nature too.

Previously, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha were under the jurisdiction of the FRRO in Hyderabad. With this latest change, Andhra Pradesh will have a dedicated FRRO authority headquartered in Amaravati.

From now on the people of Andhra Pradesh can have the visa processing service from Amaravati itself, and there is no need to travel to Hyderabad and Chennai for the same.

Securing the visa processing office is very tough task for even metro cities generally. But thanks to the synchronous energy between the NDA government in the state and its center counterparts, this process has been streamlined and Amaravati is the beneficiary of the same.
