Round Table Invitation, But Will YS Jagan Join?

YS Jagan had been very firm on his principle about running his party on his own terms, and that is the reason why he does not prefer any alliances with any other party. In the decade and half that he had been operating YSR Congress, not once did he even contemplate an alliance or mutual political planning.

But for a change, Jagan has been provided with an opportunity to join a political affiliation with the CPI, as the party invited him to a roundtable conference happening soon.

Senior CPI leaders met former Chief Minister and YSRCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy at the party’s Central Office in Tadepalli and invited YSRCP to participate in a round-table conference on drought conditions to be held in Vijayawada on September 26.

This is going to be a public centric roundtable conference in view of the prevailing drought in Andhra Pradesh. More importantly, it is a strategic positioning for Jagan while his YCP has been struggling to hold its Ground in Andhra.

CPI might not be in the best position either, but they have a consolidated vote bank and sympathies with the masses. So Jagan extending his hand for the CPI meeting might not be a bad idea at all for YCP.

But at the end of the day, Jagan is not the kind of individual, who would look at political alliances or mutual interests with much interest. So only time will tell if he would actually physically visit the meeting and partake in the discussion.
