Sasikala’s Grand Welcome Cost 200 crores?

Former General Secretary of AIDMK party and the close aide of Jayalalitha, VK Sasikala was released from jail a couple of weeks back. She then stayed in Bengaluru for a few days and returned to Chennai on February 7. Sasikala received a grand welcome to the city and the reports claimed that her fans spent around Rs. 200 crores for these celebrations.

It took 23 hours for Sasikala to reach Chennai from Bengaluru. There were more than 20 pitstops in her journey where she greeted her supporters and followers. She was welcomed with flowers, crackers, drone shows, and balloon shows. Apparently, all these events ended up with a cost of Rs. 200 crores.

That means her supporters have spent around Rs. 8 crores every hour to welcome her in a grand way. There were AIDMK leaders as well in this welcome procession. However, all the supporters of Sasikala in the party were suspended from AIDMK. For those who are unaware, even Sasikala was expelled from the party when she went into jail.
