YS Vijayamma’s Open Letter On Viveka’s Murder

Former Kadapa MP YS Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter YS Sunitha’s press meet in New Delhi is creating ripples in AP politics. The ruling and opposition party leaders are resorting to mudslinging and mutual allegations. Even Pawan Kalyan raised the issue during his recent campaign in Tirupati. In this scenario, YS Jagan’s mother and YSR’s wife YS Vijayamma has written a 5-page open letter on Monday.

Vijayamma reiterated that a CBI enquiry is currently underway regarding YS Vivekananda Reddy’s brutal murder and that TDP blaming her son for the delay is ridiculous. Blaming the TDP in turn, Vijayamma said that the murder took place when TDP was in rule and that the Chandrababu Naidu-led party had ruled the state for 2 more months after the incident, but failed to catch the culprits.

Vijayamma went on to say that YS Sunitha has the support of Jagan and Sharmila, including hers. “Sunitha wants her father’s killers to be punished no matter how powerful they are. She has our full support. Our family is not divided on this matter,” Vijayamma said, rubbishing a section of the media’s allegations that Jagan was behind the murder.

Vijayamma said that former TDP Minister Adinarayanareddy’s role was suspected in YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder and that he has now joined the BJP. “Pawan Kalyan sat next to Adinarayanareddy in Tirupati and made allegations against my son even after knowing that both CBI and NIA fall under the centre’s purview and Jagan as the state’s CM has no say in the enquiry,” Vijayamma wrote in her letter.

In a sensational revelation, Vijayamma also wrote that her family had doubts over YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s demise in the helicopter crash and that they suspected that YSR was murdered. “Everyone suspected that YSR was murdered. Even our family had the same suspicion. But what could we do? Nothing was in our hands,” Vijayamma said.
