It’s a poll day in Tamilnadu. After rigorous campaigning by all the parties in the state, the government has taken all necessary steps to make sure the polling happens in a safe mode. Along with common men, the celebrities are also making way to the polling booths to cast their votes. Suriya, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Karthi, Ajith, and many others turned up early morning itself to cast their votes. However, Thalapathy Vijay has done something different. He reached the polling booth on a bicycle and people are in the opinion that the star hero did this as a protest against the rise in fuel prices.
Thalapathy Vijay reached the polling booth in Chennai on his bicycle to cast his vote this morning. It actually looks like he has given a silent indication to everyone that he chose to ride a cycle to protest against the never-ending hike in petrol and diesel price which is currently a huge burden on the people in the country.
Vijay earlier used his movies to voice against some uneven policies of the government. Vijay also spoke about GST in his film Mersal which caught the attention of the National media as well. It is good to see actors like Vijay are trying to be socially responsible in protesting against the government as it is the only way that can catch the attention of a larger section of people and the media.
A lot of fans too followed Vijay to the polling booth today. Hope his silent message spreads faster and louder.
