Well Done Jagan: 10 Lakh FD For Orphaned Children Due To Covid

AP CM Jagan, who is for his populist public-welfare schemes, has come up with one more such scheme and the new scheme is winning the hearts of all. CM Jagan today announced that the state government will make fixed deposits of Rs 10 lakh for the children who lost their parents due to Covid-19. CM Jagan Reddy has directed the corresponding officials to come up with a special financial package to aid all those children who were orphaned due to Covid.

Under the financial package, the AP government shall do FD of Rs 10 lakh to each child who was orphaned due to novel disease since Covid outbreak in the state. And the Fixed Deposit would last till the child turns 25-year-old. A part of the monthly interest of the FD which is estimated to be 5 to 6 percent of the monthly interest to the guardian of the child towards the expenses of the child.

Meanwhile, in yet another welcome move, AP government has included ‘Black Fungus’, the disease which is affecting the Covid-recovered and Covid-affected patients, in the list of the diseases covered under the Arogya Sri Scheme.

Besides this, CM Jagan has reviewed the situation of pandemic in the state and has announced the extension of partial lockdown in the state till May 31st. CM instructed officials to take serious measures in the rural areas to avoid the spread of Covid.
