Narsapuram MP Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju is all over the news over the past few weeks. Revolting against the YCP, he became a big headache for the Jagan government. Having kept silent for long, Jagan government roped in CID and booked RRR under sedition charges.
This case took many twists and turns with the Supreme Court’s intervention, RRR managed to get bail and walk free. But more troubles are on the way for the Narsapuram MP as a complaint was lodged against him at the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
Going into details, OC Welfare Association President Karunakar Reddy alleged that Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju made belittling comments against Reddy community and he sought NHRC intrusion and take action against him.
Regarding the same Karunakar Reddy submitted video evidence to the NHRC in his complaint and added that RRR’s comments have deeply pained Reddy community people. This petition was accepted by NHRC and they are looking into the matter. If NHRC finds RRR’s comments inappropriate, the commission would serve notices to him and ask for his explanation.
All in all, Raghu Ramakrishnam Raju is going to have a tough time managing both the sedition case and NHRC’s notices (if served).
